Where my passion comes from
Climbing, ever since I was little.
I discovered climbing as a small child, with my father, in the north of the Aveyron in the heart of the Truyère Gorges cliffs. It was in these wild, unspoilt surroundings that, little by little, it became an essential passion in my life.
After training in cabinetmaking and joinery, I decided to make it my profession by qualifying as a State-certified Climbing Instructor in the Natural Environment, with an Adventure Terrain specialism.
Following a trip around the world where I combined travel and climbing, I settled down with my family in the Tarn Gorges. This is where I spend my year, between guiding on the cliffs, my joinery and cabinetmaking work, and equipping new multi-pitch routes in the Jonte Gorges.

Three principles that guide every one of my outings, from the briefing to the summit.
Teaching
Tailoring each outing to everyone's level and pace, with no pressure. What matters is that you leave having learnt something.
Kindness
Making sure everyone leaves with a smile — whether they've climbed 5 metres or 50. Humour is part of the outing.

A rare special endorsement — authorises guiding on adventure terrain (trad climbing, placing protection, unequipped multi-pitch routes).

A best-efforts obligation, not a guarantee of results
A DEJEPS instructor has a best-efforts obligation, not an obligation to deliver a result: safety comes before the summit. In bad weather or difficult conditions, we turn back with a clear conscience — the goal is to bring you home safely, not necessarily to complete the route.
